This blog is a place where you can get to know us, and we can share our services and knowledge with you. To break the ice, we will start with us.

I'm J. Michael Long and I formed JML Multimedia back in the 1980's. You may remember "Jay Michael" from local radio stations years ago? I worked at a few.

In the late 80's I began videotaping local events around the Pine Belt area. This was primarily a part-time venture as I learned more about the craft and applied new technologies when they came about. Today, video editing and production is a whole 'nother ball game. I put in the time to learn all the in's and out's of videography. All that previous experience paid off and now with new gadgets entering the market every week it is much easier to keep up with all the new trends. Applying the experience I have with cutting edge technology and creating fresh video productions is what I do.

It is this experience I bring to you.

With cheaper and affordable camcorders available to the novice you may think it is easy to shoot some video and edit it on your PC, and you are right. Today anyone with a camera and a computer can shoot and edit video, one look at YouTube and you can see the results of this. However as a company you probably would rather something more professional, created by someone with more than just a camera and some software.

This is why we are here.

JML Multimedia brings you the experience and talent of a videographer. I look for creative ways to make your video stand out. In order to do this I have more tools to work with. Multiple cameras, editing equipment, special effects libraries and more. Stuff your average guy with a camera doesn't have and probably wouldn't know how to use anyway. I have the knowledge to put it all to work for you.

This blog is a forum by which I can speak to you about the experience I have accumilated over the years. Perhaps my experience will help you?
I've launched this blog to communicate, answer questions, perhaps give a little advice now and then, and give you a chance to get to know us at JML Multimedia. There are three of us here who come together to produce video for you. As the owner, this blog will be my mouthpiece. A direct link if you like?
